Dolly Day!!!

I have finished 8 dolls today.  4 large (about 10") and 4 small (about 6").  I will show you 7 of them-the 8th is for a swap with Lana Guerra (I made a doll of her!  She (the REAL Lana) is adorable!  I can't wait for her to see it.  We will be swapping at Artfest.  I will post pics of that doll after I get back because I want it to be a surprise.

First up:  Anyone who knows me knows I LOVE Tim Burton.  Since my dolls are so inspired by Mr. Burton, I felt I needed some Burtonish chairs for photographing them.  Here are the chairs.  They are made of wood and painted with acrylics.

Now for the dollies.  I wish you could see them in person.  Honestly, I am a terrible photographer!  I will begin with the little girls:

And now for the big girls:

Sgraffito!....God Bless You!......

I have stayed super busy this past week.  In less than two weeks I have to ship everything out to Washington.  I will be glad when it ships because at that time, I can STOP!!!  LOL (Except I never do!  I will just switch over to things that I can carry with me!)

This week I worked on a few pendants using a sgraffito technique.  I really like the way they turned out.  They have a deep glaze over the front surface and my typical glaze over glaze look on back.  They measure about 2 inches across.

I also finished the chains on all the pendants from previous posts.  It was a huge chaos while I worked on them.  It actually took me 3 DAYS to finish them all!
Next up....I finished 20 new bags!

Finally, I made a pair of boot cuffs to match a favorite sweater to wear at Artfest!  They have lovely purple beads all the way around.  I like them a lot and me being me...I wore them to church last Sunday!

The final thing in this post was a surprise.  A good friend from SuziBlu's site allerted me to the fact that my art is in Jenny Doh's new book Creative Pilgrimage.  It's a half page photo showing my table at Artfest a few years ago.  I was thrilled to have been included but disappointed to have not be credited.
